So I'm actually making progress on my novel. I can;t believe it. I hope to have my first draft ready before Christmas, and then the second ASAP (maybe before that time as well). And when that's done, I'll need to get it to my beta readers. So, you still interested?

Okay, so we started playing this little game on Halloween called Fran Bow. It's a point-and-click adventure with a very pleasant visual style, and the main characters are this little ten-year-old girl with huge eyes and her black cat. It's very interesting in that it starts with a very spooky horror aesthetic, with some incredibly chillinh and scary elements on many levels (it starts in a children's mental institution in the 40s; you do the math), but then as it progresses, each chapter is lighter and softer than the last. I mean, the darkness is still there, but it kind of transitions from psychological horror to fantasy. We haven't finished it yet, but it's very cool so far. Thought you might actually like it, so decided to give you a heads-up! If I were to have one complaint, though, is that the English translation is kind of awkward. It's all grammatically correct, meaning you can understand everything that's going on, but you can tell that it's odd which kinda breaks immersion for me.
