I've been debating about checking the thread. I do have games I've worked on but kind of don't want to share them.

It's a normal RPG but utilizes a lot of elements from Monster Hunter/MMOs with fetch quests, farming for items to craft better equipment, and the overall narrative is kind of open with your character given a vague goal while they travel around the world fixing every town's problem. The last one isn't new to DQ but it makes the other aspects more apparent. It's basically a game designed to be played in small bursts on a handheld as opposed to the more focused narrative of other games. The kind of game you could ignore for six months and come back to with no issue remembering what you were doing and what was going on.
What style of RPG is it? The voice acting is because of the accents. British accents give me a headache and I don't know why. And that's not me being snobby, they seriously do
I kind of liked the VA work in VIII. I'm still not sure how I feel about IX yet, it's a style of RPG I don't really care for but it incorporates elements I love from previous games so it hasn't all been bad. DQIII I think is still my favorite but DQV is a very close second.
I still have to play DQIX. And VIII. I want to play VIII but the voices just UGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I loved V though.
I can't actually say, I own it but it's been on my back burner for over a year now. I've really been meaning to jump into as well as Seiken Denetsu 4 (to see how it killed the franchise for awhile) but from what I've seen it looks like a cross between Seiken Denetsu III and Legend of Mana. I really should give it a try once I finish up DQIX and SO1.
