Aww man that would've been awesome! Some of the symbols they use are eerily similar though, I wouldn't be surprised if they could understand you a little. Well, at least more than a normal American would.
Last night I hung out with my friend and we were gonna prank the Chinese buffet and talk to them in Japanese but they were closed and didn't answer.
That'd be fun to trick people into thinking you can't speak English! And the love song part too!
My uncle has the Rosetta Stone program on his computer but he has to hack it cus it needs some code or password. He said he'd send it to me when he figures it out though. I only know enough Japanese to make telemarketers think I don't speak English and write cheesy love songs.
I only know a few symbols, like Fire, Shadow, Light, Water--etc. I might try and learn to be fluent when I'm older, but then again, I am very lazy!
