When you figure out how it works, you can completely manipulate the systems and pretty much do whatever you want. It's one of the most amazing games I've ever played. And you can play it over and over again and never get bored. Oblivion <3
Yeah, I read that mosr people start over again because they want to change attributes and stuff. I know I'll end up doing the same so I figured I might as well have a pure warrior to start with then start again with different abilities and stuff.
Magic in Oblivion is very, very useful. By no means do you HAVE to use it, but it helps so much. At first, I was a strict Thief - light armour, no shield, high agility and speed and all other thief-related skills and attributes, short swords, and so on. Then I realized how amazing magic is. It's really hard to use early on, because you have to dedicate time to learning magic in order for it to be practical (because of the systems in place relating to magic), but eventually, and without as much work as it might sound like I mean, it becomes very, very practical. Pure warrior is great for a first file, but when you decide to branch out, you'll wish you had sooner.
I never use magic though (except in FF). In Fable 2 I unlearned the spell you have to learn at the beginning and never learned anymore. And when I get Oblivion I plan to be a pure warrior.
No one says that wizards can't use swords! Take a look at Gandalf. He is THE wizard, and he uses a sword from time to time.
Actually I've always been more partial to swords than spells.
Wizards have long hair. Wizard? Your avy implies.
I've decided to grow my hair out again. Partly due to laziness, but mostly because my barber keeps putting his prices up and it'd be money better spent on a cheap 360 game.
I got a hair cut today. O: It was really long, but now it's really not.
Glad to hear it *Insert conversation topic here*
