Yep that's exactly the problem with FF sequels. TBH I am quite happy that I don't have PS3/4 or i would have to rage over FFXIII and it's sequels too
Sequels would have worked better if they planned one along with the original game. So far, all the sequels appeared to be planned after the original game's success. Seemingly to milk money.
Yeah. Seriously unless they come up with X-3 to finally wrap things once for all, I will simply ignore the existence of 2.5 and - Will - so the games aren't ruined for me. But still I like it the best when FFs were all just a standalone titles. S-E were good at that, they are horrible at sequels.

Well, the creators of the series claimed there won't be a sequel and X-2.5 is just something to tell everyone what happened in Spira after the whole saga. Not sure whether they are true to their words.
