  1. Looks like we're finally going to battle. I'll probably be available tomorrow around 2:30PM Pacific. We can get our Tournament match out of the way and maybe a gym battle.
  2. No one has yet, and yes you can challenge them any amount of times. Just send me a PM/Visitor Messenge whenever we're both online, or we can decide on a time - pretty much anytime works for me.
  3. Has anyone challenged the gyms yet? Can I challenge until I win and still get a prize? When are you freeeee?
  4. With all of that out of the way, all you really need for the actual brewing is getting the yeast, malt and hops that you want. The brewing progress itself isn't too bad really. Just time-consuming. The fun and excitement makes up for that though. I'd recommend finding a recipe that you then adjust, rather than experimenting wildly though, for the first few beers at least. That's what I do.

I'd recommend just reading up on what you need and how to do on the internet. It sounds like a pain in the ass, but isn't too bad at all once you've managed to get started. And sharing beers would be totally awesome.
  5. Well, the trickiest part for just starting off is basically getting the right equipment. It's not too bad, but it might cost a little bit unless you already have some of the required stuff. In my case, I already had about half of the equipment needed. While you don't really need anything more expensive or hard to come by than a large boiling kettle, the quality of your equipment does matter and there are some recommended but not required things that could cost just a little bit extra, but are still worth getting. Overall, I had to pay about $100 to get all the equipment I needed.

Aside from the equipment, you will also need a place to store the beer that can keep a prefered temperature while hidden from sunlight.
  6. That's awesome! How hard is it to even brew your own beer?

I should brew my own beer too. And then we can share with each other or something.
  7. I've finished brewing my first beer! It turned out surprisingly well considering it's the first I've ever brewed. It's a 6% porter. A little bit on the sweet side for a porter though. I still haven't managed to come up with a name for it.

Also, I'm now in the middle of making a brutal 13-14% Quadrupel. Can't wait to see how that one turns out. It will take at least half a year until it's finished though.

Just letting you know, as a fellow beer lover.
  8. Yes, I have. I've tried a few of the previous years' releases and I'm looking forward to finally trying all of them once the last one comes out in December.
  9. Tried Stone's "Vertical Epic"? It's a pretty new one.
  10. Oh yeah! Did you ever start on FSN?
