Eh, I feel we'll both get there eventually.
That would be the dream. I got the most writing in my life done during the stint of time I was unemployed a few years back. Happiest time too sadly when I wasn't freaking out about how I was going to pay my bills.
Yep. Things would be so much easier if this could be my full time job that I'd spend 5-7 hours every day on and then have time for other hobbies.
Hey something is better than nothing. I had a conversation with a coworker who has been wanting to get back into writing, and we discussed how it seems like every writer wishes they worked like Stephen King, and can just sit down every day, type up something, and be on their second draft by the end of the month of starting a project.
Well, I haven't done any serious writing yet, sadly. I've been listening to the Writing Excuses podcast and while I may not agree with everything, it does comfort me in a way, since apparently my struggles are not completely unique to me. So I'll get through that slump. In the meantime, the only thing I've really done creatively was record a cover of Toss a Coin to Your Witcher. It was just a quick thing for now, but I might put more effort into it later and maybe post it somewhere.
I'm hoping so, I feel I have three pretty good stories I can finish within a reasonable amount of time and submit them before summer. How about you?
Fingers crossed then! You can do it!
Thanks, my goal is to get out at least three submissions this year. I want one of them to be just a submission to a magazine or something though, not necessarily a contest.
Awesome! Glad to hear you're getting something going
