No, because the DS version has voice overs so all the names the same. I do think you get to name Rydia's new summon Whyte but it has been awhile since I gave the game a playthrough.

Yeah, CC takes some odd liberties. The Masemune becoming evil and the supposed death of most of the CT cast has not helped either. The big problem with the game is that it largely created more questions than answer them.
I just found out the Chrono Cross ending and I am UPSET because Shula had purple hair and was not a blonde and most certainly did not talk with a faux Australian accent
