Love thy neighbor.
Sonic Youth were also in that episode. And Homer ruined Peter’s pig. Now, what was that man’s last name? Jimbo said it sounded like Peter something’s guitar was talking, and then Otto said he thought his (Otto’s) shoes were talking. In a different episode (I think it was) Otto said how he didn’t need drugs to enjoy this (some kind of live musical performance), only to enhance it. Could have possibly used the word whoa.
There are some things that people can do that are unforgivable. I don't think you're doing anyone a disservice if you continue to to not forgive them for doing something like that. It's their fault.
I hope you don't think that's a bad thing.
They even got Hendrix, who was in the Simpsons, but not actual Hendrix just him in heaven.
We do listen to the radio at work sometimes, which is better. We’re not allowed, though, so we have to be careful. The other day they were playing clips from The Simpsons of a guest band’s appearance, and then they would play a song from the band. I think... I think they got everyone but the Ramones! :chuckle:
Also, a lyric does not have to be a technical masterpiece for me to enjoy it. I find that when I’m tired, I find listening to lyrically simple (but not stupid) songs much more relaxing. But... maybe that’s because I’m usually tired after work, and the songs that play there are generally so horrible that anything is soothing. Who knows!
Scots do it. It's in their blood to be unforgiving.
Lyrics matter to me. If they are in a song, then they are part of the song, so they matter. Ignoring them would be like looking at a painting, and covering up a part of it. That’s not to say I will hate a song I like the sound of it it has horrible lyrics. Songs are different, and the way to listen to them are different, but that’s getting off-center. I suppose... interpretation of lyrics, is also important and interesting. Some people hate it, but I like the way a song and its lyrics can mean one thing to me, another thing to someone else, and once more something completely different to the writer.
How come they gotta hold a grudge so long
