Conversation Between Fynn and Skyblade

  1. First ten are done. I'm out of space now too. I'm probably going to transfer some of my boxes to my Pokémon bank in order to get more room. Currently I'm just tearing through using my pre-trained fighters as breed stock. Since I'm not worrying about Egg Move distribution or IV distribution, it's going pretty quickly. I mean, I already have the Natures set on those guys, and the breed partners available as well, thanks to my perfect IV Ditto.

This has the potential to be unbalanced as heck, though. Everyone is getting my favorites. And that encompasses a really, really wide range across most of the tiers.
  2. True... I think that's a good balance. Let's see what the participants have to say later
  3. Well, if the Pokémon evolves via a normal item, like a Thunderstone, I'm ok with that. But what about Porygon? Trade it with the Up-Grade, then trade it with the Dubious Disc? Both of which can only be acquired in post-game? Seems kind of restrictive. There's also Pokémon like Gligar, who evolve via leveling up at night holding a Razor Fang. Again, a post-game only item. I don't mind handing out those items or anything, but I'm not sure how to account for it in the training period.
  4. Just took a glance. It's great that you have all that figured out. Although I don't know if excluding item evolutions isn't too restricting, since a lot of fan favorites do that, but you do have a point that it might really interfere with the raising period. I could see trade evolutions happening - but that's only if everyone decided to post their parties in the raising stage thread and were willing to help each other out. Otherwise, we run the risk of cheating, so that's a great preventative measure you took there
  5. Keep an eye on the thread too, because I'll be posting info that I feel is worthwhile for everyone over there.
  6. I think we might have a vote on that once we start nearing tournament time. I think that will influence the time limit for the raising, since we'll need more time if we want people to be able to reach level 50. And it also depends on how much time they want to invest in it.

I'll be at work for an hour now, then have a short break, and then work for another hour, so my replying will be patchy m, but I'll read everything you send my way!
  7. Are we going to use Flat Rules, or Standard Rules? Flat Rules will set every Pokémon involved to level 50, so the training will be more about moves than levels. In Standard Rules, Pokémon above level 50 will be set to level 50, but Pokémon below level 50 will remain whatever level they are when the battle starts.
  8. One of the reasons why I love Pokémon is that I get to help other players by breeding them Pokémon and such instead of just fighting them. I hate competition in most games. Mostly because I suck.

I'm doing some testing on the battle setups really quick, then I'm going to pop into the thread with some more info.
  9. Well, you've still got plenty of time - if you space it out properly, you won't get as burned out

You kinda could like my friend Maciek - he's always afraid of losing too
  10. Yeah, but that means that I might lose! My Pokémon might faint! I hate it when that happens!

But, yeah, we'll see. I guess it depends on how many Pokémon I breed before I get tired of it.
