  1. Honestly, I've never been bothered by all that too much. Unlike FFIII DS, the Tactics Ogre remake is extremely fun to me and I like a lot of the choices made, whereas the original doesn't really sound like something I would enjoy. Of course, never having played it, I can't confirm that 100%, but from the sound of it it just sounds tedious? Idk. What I really appreciate about the PSP remake, though, are the production values. Like holy hell, the game is incredibly pretty with fantastic new artwork by the one and only Akihiko Yoshida, and then there's the incredibly well-made music rearrangements from Hitorhi Sakimoto. They've really gone out of their way to make this remake feel like a completely new, modern (at the time) game.

Btw, last night I had a dream and you were in it. Basically you came to visit and it was the middle of the night and I'd completely forgotten that you were coming that late so I had to get up and run around the house in a frenzy, getting everything ready.
  2. I am. I just really hate how they changed the class system in this game. I hate the skill system because I feel it takes away from the units too much which is really jarring because TO/OB were all about specialized units and being smart about how you used them. I'm annoyed that a lot of the mechanics in the game seem to be built for the new post-game content so it's been difficult to feel satisfaction building my team in the main campaign mode because all the real cool options and easier grinding spots open up after you finish the game.

It's really reminiscent of FFIII DS where a lot of the changes to make it more palpable for newer players ultimately lobotomize a lot of what made the game fun and special to begin with. In stead I feel like it took a lot of the worst aspects from FFTA2 from the game design side of things. I love the story though, I may even dare say that I feel it's actually better that FFT for me, though it will be interesting to see how the alternate paths go since I went and took the Law path, which makes me human scum.
  3. You're being very tsundere about this whole thing
  4. The PSP version of Tactics Ogre infuriates me because its addicting as hell but man I have a lot of gripes about the changes in the game. I think I honestly love the original version better despite its own headaches.
  5. Yeah, I'm not big on streaming services either, largely because I don't like letting other people have control over the availability of what I want to see which is what the strengths of the service is suppose to be in the first place.
  6. Interesting. Though I must say I distrust cloud gaming on a fundamental level.
  7. Yeah, there are too many damn good games coming out this month I'm interested in. I opted for Death's Stranding because it feels like the type of game you don't want spoiled. Still, I really would love to play Romancing SaGa 3 as well not to mention Scarlet Graces comes out a few weeks after RS3. I'll probably have to wait until Christmas to have the money to purchase those games. Money might be a little tight for me this holiday season because I plan on splurging on my GF and buying her a PS4 this Christmas.

I actually fell back into DQIX for a bit, probably because I knew it would quickly end my DQ mood and that has certainly worked for me. Holy hell, it takes forever to get anything done in that game and I'm still angry that it made the alchemy pot one of the most rage inducing elements of the game despite it being my favorite part of DQVIII. Instead I'm going to probably focus on finishing up Tactics Ogre instead.
  8. I never know when exactly your birthday is because you're a secretive little bastard, so I'll just wish you a happy birthday now Hope the next year in your life is even better than the last one!

On a completely unrelated note (as I kinda need to get away from thinking about writing for a bit, because my mind has gotten obsessive about putting my own damn self down again), I'm really looking forward to Romancing SaGa 3. Don't know if I'll be able to play it righ away, since I don't exactly have money to spare, but it's a definite buy at some point, for me. Now, if I could only decide who to play as. I've narrowed down the choice to Katrina and Khalid, since they're two of the hottest protagonists available, it looks like, the problem is which should I pick? I know Katrina is not playable at all if you don't start with her, so that seems like a no-brainer, but then I heard Khalid can be hard to recruit/is expensive when hue's not your protagonist. Hmm...
  9. I'll keep working on it, but I may jump to a different story that interests me more. I'm feeling more creative lately and it looks like work will be in a lull for a few weeks so I really don't have an excuse not to work on some of my writing projects.

I'm usually really moody around my birthday, so I tend to try and avoid things that play on that which is why my current story is not working for me. I'd rather work on something fun anyway.
