I feel ya My schoolbag is KILLING my back this semester, my button broke at school so I'm stuck holding them up like a dork all day now, I'm sleepy and lazy today, I feel like I made a poor impression in class today, my finger hurts from typing somehow??? and the school Michael was supposed to sign up for pulled some sneaky, backhanded crap when he went to daycare there two years ago and because it's the public school system it's all on file and ugh
Just thinking about my thesis still gives me a globus sensation though :/ And those rats! Why can't I have nice things
Sadly our courses are very textbook reliant because this is the US and they want that $$$$$$$$ to make sure we pay obscene textbook prices! Great job and getting another step further with your thesis
Sorry for the late reply But yeah, a good textbook can really brighten your mood! Still, I always think a good teacher is so much more important than a good textbook. Then again, that may be because we had no emphasis on textbooks during my studies. in fact, we never needed to by any textbooks at all - we got photocopies from the teachers or were instructed to make them ourseslves. Heck, my entire Handbook of Language and Gender and Handbook of Multimodal Discourse Analysis were huge photocopies provided to me by my supervisor. Also, finished my corrections yesterday. Still awaiting an answer from the supervisor and I assume I'll still have to correct things, and I still need to study for the exam, but hey, I'm one step closer!
On the bright side, my English textbook is great. It's concise, it doesn't talk down to me, but it's also informative and interesting. Good job Laurie G. Kirszner and Stephen R. Mandell
Man, those types of teachers are the worst. You're angry but you also can't really stay mad cause you kinda relate to their general klutziness and stuff :
tanky. After tomorrow I have 5 days to get stuff done though, so that's good. My English prof. is new so he really doesn't have his stuff together. He sent us to the wrong BUILDING, totally forgot to mention that, oh yeah, we have an additional 20 pages to read before Thursday and not just the original 30 he said, and it was just a big mess. The rest of the day went pretty well though other than some pains.
