I get what you mean. While the portrayal of God is not something that sits well with me, the moral grayness and cynicism are actually something I really like about the series. Though I can understand how it's not to everybody's taste It's one of my top three series actually. SMTIV has some mechanic changes that don't really work well, IMO. The first person battles I actually find pretty awesome. I used to hate first-person perspective, but Strange Journey made me fall in love with it.
I have, but I haven't gotten very far into it. I have quite a few problems with the SMT games. I really, really hate the first person combat perspective, and the themes and tone of the games in general don't sit well with me. They're also a bit too mechanic-intensive for me. The combat is incredibly deep, and combined with the general difficulty of the games, this makes me spend an inordinate amount of time in the dungeons when exploring the world and talking to people are much more enjoyable.
Hey, Sky! You played SMTIV? I'm in the middle of it now and I'm having a blast.
By the way, I started putting the three ongoing stories from my blog in Timber Maniacs. Check them out and give some feedback, if you're so inclined The chapters are much shorter than in my novel.
I still can't convince myself to start writing again. It doesn't help that I have so little free time. I can't wait for the holiday break.
Also overwhelmed with stuff. Work and uni stuff, plus writing my MA thesis and my book and my stories. In my spare time, I draw in Pokemon Art Academy and I'm finally playing FFXIII for the first time. But in general, I'm feeling much better than I did to for quite a while before that.
Lots of work and school. Tired and exhausted a lot. Playing a ton of Hyrule Warriors with my little bit of free time. How about you?
Hey man, what's up?
Just remembered one tiny bit. I haven't read any of the chapters after 5 yet, but there was one more criticism I had but forgot to mention - there are times where it is not exactly clear as to who is talking. Still, that's relatively easy to fix
I've built houses in it before, but managing the Sims life sort of failed to keep my interest. Having played any of the series but the original.
