  1. That is my struggle to a T. Really sucks the old 3DS can't play Super Nintendo. Earthbound is fun, but I somehow get fatigued playing it more than Dragon Quest despite its added convenient features. I think its a combination of the game's inventory system and the labyrinthine dungeon design doesn't really accommodate the on field enemy encounter. It's similar to a problem I had with SMTIV. The writing is still top notch, and it's a huge reason why I plan to beat it eventually.
  2. I sadly missed out on the series back in the day and I've been meaning to get a copy and give it a real try. A bit annoyed Earthbound isn't available for either of the Nintendo consoles I own (Wii and 3DS).
  3. Admittedly, most of my exposure to the series has been through Chuggaconroy's LPs back in the day rather than going through them myself (I do plan on playing Mother 3 blind one day though), but there's so much care put into that animation. Probably one of the most charming fan videos I've seen.
  4. Thought you would like it sice you mentioned you were listening to Mother soundtrack.
  5. Hooooooly crap, thank you for this!
  6. I'll get to it sooner or later, JoJolion was the one I was the most interested in besides Part V.

I'm a huge Street Fighter Alpha fan myself.
  7. All Star Battle was my introduction to the series (I had known of the series due to comparisons with Persona, but this was my first time actually seeing anything of it). I definitely got a lot more out of it once I knew who some of the characters were; I was a fan of how they took all of Joseph's one off abilities to make an entire arsenal. I've played a bit of the Capcom fighting game; being a huge fan of the Street Fighter Alpha trilogy, that one was definitely my fav.

As far as Part 8 goes: if by chance you ever do have the energy to dive back in before it's done, there's a pretty clean stopping point at chapter 55 if you don't want to check in monthly like me. Like, as clean as Jonathan burning down the mansion [apparently] killing Dio and starting over with Erina.
  8. Yeah I liked the pacing in Part 5, I just wish it didn't have a Deus ex Machine style ending like Part 3, but I guess the author did kind of make the villain a little too powerful. Its still one of my favorites. I got to part 8 and kind of just stopped cause Part 7 is such an emotional trip towards the end. I'll pick it back u soon, I was just hoping for it to be finished by then. Have you tried any of the fighting games?
  9. Currently going through Part 5 and I'm surprised by how well paced it is. Definitely tied with Steel Ball Run for my favorite cast currently.
