Arturo is like the only decent friend you get. Amane and the cousin are cool as well, but sadly stay on the sidelines for most of the plot.
I mean, I like Atsuro okay, but he's voiced by Spike Spencer so that may be lifting him in my eyes. Amane has Laura Bailey voicing her, so my interest in her is piqued
Yeah as it stands, Devil Survivor is probably my least favorite series in the SMT franchise. I never liked any of the characters and the art style bothered me as well.
So, restarted Devil Survivor. Still not digging the art style and characters at all (Yuzu has a terrible voice to boot, making her all the more unsympathetic), but I like the battles quite a bit. Auctions are kinda frustrating, though, and I'm miffed that there's so little I can fuse so far.
Well it was made in the era they were trying to be more accessible. Not like P2 was hard, just super easy to miss a lot of things.
I mean, 30 hours. It wasn't exactly the longest game. It was also surprisingly easy for a MegaTen game.

Very possible. They may have used a psuedo-name, that happens from time to time.
To me it sounds dead-on like Shimomura, especially from the recent KH titles. Everything from the tasteful use of the accordion, the loud beat, the heavy use of a solo violin, the romantic harmonies, all the way up to the alternating 6/8, 6/8, 2/4 meter, it sounds exactly like her. And I can't find her anywhere in the soundtrack credits. Though I don't think it's unlikely, since she does contribute to Nintendo soundtracks and the Pokemon OSTs are usually done by a number of composers. But it's still baffling to me that I can find no confirmation for it despite being 99% convinced it's her.
