They gave us something like a year of free gametime and some bonus items for the new version of the game. In my opinion, after the first five or six months, the game was still very enjoyable and I met some fantastic people while having a good time playing it. In some ways I prefer 1.23 (the last patch of the old version) to what we have now! Not in all ways though The game is constantly improving.
Wow, you took the initiative to talk to new members via VM, things really have changed. Anyway, were you one of those that play FF XIV when it is buggy and crappy before it got revamped? Did Square pays you back any money?
