Actually, I got that shiny Espeon from a guy that I met during another Pokemon tournament at a convention. Apparently, he had more than one Shiny Evee and we talked quite a bit, and he ended up agreeing to trading me one of his shiny Evees if I could beat him. And I did. I asked him specifically to name it Carbuncle before trading it over too, since I knew I wanted it to be evolved to an Espeon and the summon Carbuncle from FF fits Espeon really well. xD Otherwise, I know there are a few ways to increase the chance of getting shinys like breeding pokemons from different regions, but it's still really hard and time consuming and I've only ever gotten three Shinys by myself that I found completely randomly.
btw, how did u get that shiny espeon? :O and how do you get skiny pokemon at all? is it really random, or is there something you can do to increase the change to encounter one?
I'm pretty sure that Dragon Claw is a TM, so if you don't have that TM, you should look up how to get it. =P And yes, having well-planned movesets is probably the most important part of team-building.
im not even sure if my dragonite ever had dragonclaw :o i guess i really need to work on getting some tactical moves, like u-turn like you said :P
Ah, I see. Well, that's good that you have it though. And yes, but patience with switching is usually good in the long run. Or, you can have some kind of trick that makes you benefit more from switches. Like... U-Turn is a good move that does damage and lets you switch at the same time. Or if you have a move like Dragon Dance on Dragonite, you can use that to gain additional power during a switch and make Dragonite far more scary against everything. Speaking of Dragonite, you did miss some of those Dragonrushes, and that certainly made some difference too. That 70 accuracy is the reason most people prefer Dragon Claw instead.
my talonflame does have bravebird, but i wasnt sure if i could mis the HP. i got so tired of switching all the time. if i kept switching we would still be switching now :l xD
GG! This was 'Rydia's full team' by the way. You did some good switches, and if your Talonflame had Bravebird instead of Fly + some kind of item to boost its power, things could have gone a bit different. For the really fast but kinda weak pokemons like Talonflame, additional power is usually more important than additional speed. So strong moves like Bravebird are often better than Flamecharge. But most of the withdraws/switches in general were wise decisions.
