Queen Anne's a step above the lively University District that I now call home. I was down in the middle of nowhere near Pittsburgh for a good solid five years; Twenty before that up in Erie so a change of scenery was definitely a necessity. I have no idea how to hold a conversation with half of the locals either, but thankfully all of us transplants are a talkative bunch.
Where are you at now? And yeah, from York (SE PA, near Hburg and Lancaster), to a block from the Space Phallus. Hell of a trip. Since I'm so societally malcontent, the hardest thing for me has been learning interpersonal communications in seattle. Everyone is so passive aggressive and no one can have a direct confrontation in a conversation. I bulldoze everyone because I'm inherently aggressive, flippant, and loud. Seattleites hate me, and from where I stand, pump up the volume in your outcries, I live for it.
I just moved here from Pennsylvania two months ago. Hell of a change of scenery, right?
