I don't think you need to ask to be friends with people - you either get along with them or you don't. So far, I have no problems with you so you must be doing something right! You should join #eoff, the chatroom. It's linked to in the top of the forums, and is probably one of the easier ways to get to know people at Eyes on Final Fantasy. I'm online in there all the time, but that's my home PC and I'm not always at that PC when I'm on EoFF - often I'm at work (like I am now).
