I've been a wrestling fan since 98. Got introduced to it through WWF War Zone, but didn't watch it full time until January 99. Due to having no cable I could only watch WCW and WWF's Saturday recap shows and learn who won what at the Pay-Per-Views through my friends. Then I started picking up the home videos of past events and all that. Then SmackDown! became a prime time show on UPN and I was able to watch a 2 hour wrestling show every Thursday nights, and to top it all off the show had my favorite color. I don't watch it regularly anymore, but I dabble back on occasion.
Pro Wrestling on the NES is easily one of my top 5 games on the console. Easily. STARMAN FO LYFE!!! But, that said, I've never been a fan of actual wrestling; my best friend, however, is and has been as long as I've known him, so it is something I can watch with interest, even though I lack the full investment a real fan would probably have. What I've come to find fascinating are the meta breakdowns I hear post-show a lot. Why have person x lose to y instead of z? Would it be better to turn person A heel at junction B to create a more interesting story/rivalry? That kind of thing. People put some serious analysis into that stuff! :o What about you? From the things you've said, would I be right in assuming you are (or were) a wrestling fan?
Did you like wrestling? I know you liked some of the games (I think), but can't remember if you were a fan or not.
Maybe I'd like it more if everything worth having wasn't locked right out of the gate! But that review is coming, my friend. Let's play the good Rush games first.

Jesus. They made the standard Shinra troops a pain in the ass to kill in this. Must be that old Final Fantasy difficulty working its way to the surface.
