I think that will be okay, yes. You cannot use 2 codes on one game. They share the same Wondercard ID, and a single game can only use a particular Wondercard once. However, if you pick up the gift Pokémon, then reset and start a new game, you can put it in again, as that erases/resets Wondercard data. So, just transfer all your Pokémon to Pokébank and start over. I believe that events are not region locked, but I am not sure.
