Conversation Between Ultima Shadow and Jiro

  1. Indeed, you probably do. Much better than the other ones I've recieved, saying little more than "lol" or such. xD

And yeah, I actually hope single elimination won't be the case. If it is, they better NOT have me, you and Rantz up against each other until at least semi-finals.
  2. I don't want to toot my own horn but I give probably the single greatest rep comments. It's just so much better than saying nothing, or just saying, "nice" or "I like this." Gotta put some love and passion into it! Interesting to see what format the next round takes. With 12 left, it could be straight 1v1 knockouts until the final D:
  3. D'aaaawwww. <3

    Also, your rep comments: <3

  4. Yeah, bit of a mix up there it seems. I'm super glad I survived that trout, and it's good to see you come out of top. I was going to bet you for our bracket but I'm still trying to maintain an appearance of not actually being here. I only came for the TT (and you~) after all!
  5. What the... did you two play and finish just now?

Here I'm still waiting for him to make his 4th moves. And I've soon been waiting for 48 hours.
  6. Okay, phew. I won.
  7. I can't guarantee that kotora will use the same cards against you, but against me it seem like he wanted to use the cards with 7 or 6 in power in one direction. This allows him to take over some boss/GF cards from specific directions, or create combos in single directions. The problem, however, is that it becomes almost impossible for him to create combos in two directions as long as you pay enough attention. And as long as you prevent him from getting a two-way combo set up, then winning with sheer power should be pretty easy.

Oh, and... I'd say Chubby Chocobo is a pretty good card overall. Maybe he could replace Quezacotl?

If you want some casual matches to try out new decks/hands, then just let me know/send me a challenge.
  8. Well I'm hoping I can trip him up on the elementals, because they don't count toward same/plus. If not, brute force should allow me an okay shot at it. Here's hoping xD It's embarrassing apart from the fact that you and Rantz are top contenders.
  9. Using a boss card that has better combo potential or spread but covers those same areas could be an option. While they have less overall focused power, they could still prove more useful overall. Possibly. Catobeplas doesn't have any 9's, but is pretty good for combos and has a pretty powerful overall spread, for example.

Even without Quetzacoatl, I think you have enough power to the right. Only the power downwards is lacking.

And as long as you don't let your guard down against low-level cards like Psy and Vivi did, then kotora should be a safe win. Aside from using level 1 cards, he doesn't seem to be planning too far ahead since I actually managed to manipulate his second placement for a secured 7-3 or 8-2 win.
  10. My problem is that smurfing Quetzacoatl is not as useful as the other cards but to replace him is to have to rearrange other cards and weaken my deck in other areas. I need to win another card or just play a different angle, so I'll see what happens against kotora. You're right, though. Our bracket has three of the top players in it, which was just asking for a diminished overall tournament. I expect to see legitimate seeding next time!
