I see where you're coming from--in both situations. When I still M.U.G.E.N.ed ( pain in the arse to type. ) I got lucky and ran into some extremely nice people and of course the occasional jerkface, but I got bored after a while with Reuben Kee's characters. And when I was early into my RPG Maker days I also made games as fun things for my friends and cousins, but now I'm more serious about it and all that good stuff. YOU'RE STILL AWESOME THOUGH.
Well I never touch M.U.G.E.N. because I can barely make it work (Most of its players are elitist tossers who don't want to tell you where to get any good resources or tutorials anyway, so forget it) and as for RPG Maker, I mostly play other people's games; I've only ever come close to completing one and that was full of private jokes and made for my friends. I might make another someday... for my friends... like an FF pastiche or something.
