Yeah... I think I purposely chose the avoid the neutral endings because I needed a break from her. If you go Law or Chaos, she leaves the group finally. Her ending path leads to the worst ending in the game as well. Yeah, they seriously dropped the ball with her character.

I tend to enjoy love triangles though, so I wish we could have had a something, I mean they build up Melia and Shulk for so long in the game and then Fiora show up again and Melia just raises her hands and surrenders like a U.S. stereotype of the French. My issue is not so much that I wanted real drama, but rather I wished it had been handled a bit better. Either rationalize Melia's actions better, or better yet, make Shulk's love interest a player choice through the Heart to Heart sections. Basically it was a blown opportunity.
Yeah, I get that, but it was still a surprise. I expected this game to be SMT life as I've been pretty much able to save everyone so far. Weird. Anyway, I kinda creeped on your conversation with Pumpkinator, and I have to say I disagree with you. I'm actually glad the potential love triangle in Xenoblafe was free of the drama that is so played up with triangles in media nowadays. Melia's treatment of the matter is actually very much in-character for her, as a reserved, dignified lady. She's a future queen who realizes her crush is something that will pass and her seeing Shulk happy with Fiora is enough for her. Plus, she still wants to be friends with both, which is why she's like this. I always considered her someone who's very much in control of their emotions, so the way this played out really made sense to me
It has the classic alignment system, it was bound to happen. I think Arturo's ending is the only one where most of the cast can live. I'm pretty sure Kaido and Keisuke are linked so having one survive means the other dies, same with Amane and your cousin.

It is a MegaTen game after all. I'm pretty sure Amane, Keisuke, Kaido, and your cousin, all die in any ending path that doesn't involve joining them.
I don't think its possible to save everyone in this game. The closes you can do is if you follow Arturo and his ending.
I actually talked to Keisuke before. I mean, I knew they'd be fighting to the death, but I expected I'd be able to intercept that battle. Asshole or not, I still kinda feel bad he died. I was kinda hoping I could save everybody. But yeah, I'm gonna have to try the fight again anyway. Those Mothmen with Devil Speed are annoying as hell. Just fused up some new demons and I'll be leveling them up now. I think I stuck with Gozuki, Pendragon and Orcus and stuff for way too long.
