  1. Haha that's a good comparison =P

But yeah, but it's shaping up to be a pretty fun ride. I feel a bit sorry for my character though. Gotta suck to be caught up in a mess like that =P
  2. I think we'll be looking at something more Danganronpa than Zero Escape, if you know what I mean

Still, I'm definitely not complaining about the character diversity! It's great to finally have some personality to go with the portraits!
  3. Thanks It's definitely an interesting experience. Didn't expect characters like Vanessa or Hairspray to show up xD
  4. Btw, great work on that first RP entry! You have quite a pleasant writing style I'm guessing that's from all the reading you do!
  5. Glad to hear it!
  6. Oh wow there are quite a few posts already.

And thanks for the offer. I've calmed down so I'm fine for now.
  7. So the murder mystery RP started! If you feel like it or want to get your mind off of things, just hop on in Some people have already written some stuff, so getting in shouldn't be too scary anymore.

ANd yeah, if you want to, I'm always there to listen
  8. When you put it that way, I understand. And I am really glad we have a variety of games to cater to people on different areas of that spectrum. But it seems like the "stupid plot, leave it out" camp is probably a vocal minority that nonetheless makes it seem like all games should have simple or non-existent plots to be enjoyable, while games that are more complete packages are mocked, which is stupid.

I'm actually having high hopes for FFXV for this reason. I have no idea what it'll turn out like yet, but it really seems like they're putting great effort into the storyline, making it mature and realistic, and I'm pretty confident it will be good, while the gameplay looks fun and, most importantly, palatable for the mainstream, so perhaps that can break some of that trend?
  9. Well games being the grand interactive package they are, they can be overwhelming just as much as they can be amazing. Like a "You're already playing the game and now you also have to think hard about some kind of complex story on top of that? Screw that." kind of thing. I personally love being able to engage in so many different aspects at the same time, but if you're not big into games I can see why it can be a problem.
  10. But how can you unwind without a story that grips you? That's just so weird. people read books to unwind. They can wrap their heads around plots that are much more complex than pretty much all (or at least like 90%) of games. It's so werid. I think it's a matter of attitude, trends, etc.
