They are both pretty good. The second track sounds very Vocaloid-like. The main theme definetly has a Saga vibe to it. I hear the music is being done by the same person who did Attack on Titans music.
That soundtrack, man. It's just... Wow. It's interesting how it sounds completely different from Xenogears, Xenosaga or the original Xenoblade, and yet it still feels so Xeno. I'll drop you two music links here, so take a listen, unless you want to avoid those until you play Here's what I think is the main theme. And this apparently plays during some special mode in battle.
I'm afraid not, but it's a good question since I would love to see some of the changes they made to the main story. From what I've read of some translated scripts, they changed around a few things concerning Episode 2 and added some great references to Pied Piper.
Man, I really need to finish Xenosaga one day. I only beat the first one. Too bad the chances of the HD collection happening are slim. Probably gonna have to wait for a good enough computer to emulate them. By the way, do you by any know how much progress has been made on the fan translation of I&II DS?
Yeah Xenoblade had a real Gear vibe to it. This game feels more like Saga though but maybe it's the heavier use of space tropes. What I have heard is that the game opens up after the first few hours so you can actually explore a lot. The main plot is shorter than Blade's but the staff did more to flesh out the world and characters through the sidequests like Blade did. With all that said, the description of Takahashi writing the stories initial draft made it sound like he was writing a novel by the staff.
Even if it's less story, I just hope it's good. I remember that right after revealing the game Takahashi said something about really fleshing out the story this time. We'll see. I don't mind an even bigger focus on exploration, though. Still, I don't think you can beat the balance the original Xenoblade had. Also, am I the only one that is getting more Xenosaga-ish vibes from this one? Xenoblade seemed very Xenogearsy, on the other hand.
Yeah, I've been avoiding story spoilers though I've heard it's even less story centric than Xenoblade.
