I think I will start reading through the story this weekend and start posting!
Since you have a warrior/archer character, it means your character has to be at least somewhat skilled with combat, right? In that case you'll survive as long as you work with others. Teamwork is essential for survival, and there's always a need for one more warrior and archer in a merry group of heroes. Don't worry too much about power levels and such, though; we don't really have those as we concentrate more on story and character interaction. As long as you don't godmode (e.g. defeat entire armies or powerful mages yourself), you'll do fine. And if in doubt, stay close to others. Soloing when one faces multiple powerful enemies is instant suicide no matter how strong a character may be.
Ok, so I post in chapter 9 with a location I prefer! But will I be too weak compare to the other players there since I just started?
Yeah, that's pretty much what people do at tGA. xD You choose a location (Vanna, Jardine and Alent are the most active cities at the moment, but you can choose some other location to appear in if you feel like it) and make your character appear in that location. Usually people post wherever other characters happen to be the most active (like how EE's character Reven appeared in Vanna in the middle of a battle).
So, how do I actually start? Do I just appear out of nowhere in chapter 9?

Sadly our performance wasn't recorded, but it went very well. People in the wedding party seemed to really like our songs. If you have Live Messenger or AIM handle, I could try to send you a sample of my singing (assuming I get my mic to work).
