Haha, I still haven't picked it up - even though it has been out in europe for quite a while now. I'll do so soon though. I assume you mean it "goes wrong fast" by taking a sudden turn towards the end of the game then, and not "goes wrong right off the bat, 10 mins after a promising intro"?
Bravely Default, never before have I seen a game's writting go so smurfing wrong so smurfing fast. XD Though to explain why would spoil the ending.

I might end up picking up Z as well, even though I laready have X. This is possibly my favourite pokemon generation. My only real complaint is that the main story in the game is far too easy. ...and the story itself is... well... "pokemon". That aside, I love pretty much every change that has been made.
Skipping on X and Y until Z gets launched, then I"ll pick it up.
Adamant Gyara is a beast, and one of my personal favourites. <3 And I actually very recently managed to get one with almost completely perfect IVs in X. The breeding system in X/Y has made things sooooo much easier when it comes to IV breeding, as well as proper EV training. Only 2 spots missing now, then I'll have a full IV bred and EV trained team. One of my new favourite pokemons in this generation is Trevenant by the way. Its base stats are not too impressive, but its alternate ability "Harvest" combined with Sitrus Berry and defense-focused EV spreads... combined with Leech Seed, Wiil o Wisp and Substitute makes it one hell of a wall. My Trevenant and Mega Mawile alone took down a Mega Mewtwo and Xeneras (the X Legendary)... and then the rest of the opposing team as well in a random Wi-Fi battle. It was very amusing.
...Welp, decided to play through Pokemon Soul Silver before continueing my Platinum playthrough, since my emulator can apperently trade between games with a bit of work. And I just caught and Adamant Nature Ditto, and apperently in Soul Silver whoever holds the Everstone when Breeding is the one garunteed to pass it's nature on. So, Adamant Gyrados and Scyther here I come!
