  1. Actually SJ is one of the more manageable since it's possible to actually cheat to change alignment before the game locks you into it, much like the original game did.

Mem Alph is pretty bulltrout, I feel part of the reason why is that the best skills in the game are locked into endgame demons and you're main character doesn't get the best options in terms of gear until NG+. Her movest is pretty nasty but it's not like most of the game's bosses weren't BS to some degree. I miss how you can actually acquire their skills in Nocturne if you met the requirements to create the demon whereas SJ and SMTIV are very selective of what skills boss monsters can use.
  2. I'm usually not that ambitious to take on optional bosses in SMT I heard Mem Aleph is bulltrout enough - I don't think I have it in me to take on the Demiurge.

BUT! I do intend to go chaos then law then neutral in IV and do all the quests I can. I feel that game might be the most manageable in that regard.
  3. True, I was compelled to finish Strange Journey by end game despite it being a royal pain in the ass. I never finished beating all the fiends either. I need to beat it with Chaos alignment just so I can unlock Demiruge and fight the game's infamous final super boss.
  4. I know. I remember. It's sadly true for all SMT. Then again, it's hard to come by games that are quite this satisfying to beat nowadays.
  5. Glad to see you're still having fun with it. It's easy to get burned out by the end.
  6. The iOS version is actually a mesh between the PSX and GBA version. It has the GBA version's graphics, but the music and gameplay is taken from the PSX version, and I heard that was the version that wasn't nerfed. But I may be wrong.

Right now, sector Antlia is wrecking me, but I'm still loving it so much. The graphics are so nice, the animations so fluid, there's so many colors, the music is amazing, and the demon conversations are just fabulous

  8. Well I am playing the original version of SMT1 with it's bad graphics making it difficult to navigate and I have a feeling the later remake/ports nerfed the game a little to make it noob friendly cause as it stands, I would say they are about the same in difficulty.
  9. Strange Journey is hella long and I just restarted it, not to mention it's much harder than 1. So I don't think I really stand a chance here
  10. Well now we need to see which of us will complete our next SMT game first. Me beating SMT1 or you completing Strange Journey.
