... am I weird for getting super hyped to play this game when I see something like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5K09k_klPgA
Yeah, despite sucking at melee combat, I had more fun with 9S actually due to the variety of hacking missions with him. Course its Route C and D where everything really goes crazy.
... that actually kinda motivates me to pick the game back up lol >.< I mean I knew you could hack whatever you wanted but it felt like it'd get really repetitive, but then again, I am a fan of bullet hell in general, so hey, will probably enjoy it.
Interested, just not a high priority. I've got to be in the mood for it kind of deal but I won't turn it away if it pops up somewhere. Honestly, the bullet hell sections in Nier Automata saved Route B for me. I hacked everything because it was more fun and interesting than the simple combat.
Oh right, Nier:Automata did have those sections as well. I guess Undertale has them too but you haven't played that either IIRC. Is bullet hell a genre you simply don't care for or would be interested in checking out, just not on a high priority?
Just the old school arcade stuff from way back in the day. They would hardly be called bullet hell titles these days but top-down shooter just seems like a lazy definition. So not really outside of some of the stuff from Nier Automata.
Ah yes, Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell. Classic ^^ If I had to narrow down a single favorite Japanese composer myself I suppose it would be ZUN, given the sheer volume of amazing music in the Touhou series. Have you ever played those, or any other bullet hells for that matter?
She's a bit like a female Yasunori Mitsuda imho. So I wasn't really bothered when she took over composing duties for Xenosaga since I felt she would have been the best replacement. Yoko Kanno is still my favorite Japanese composer, though she doesn't do video game music much anymore.
Yeah kinda ^^ there's a lot of games I missed out on in the end, and it's really not until recently that I set out to actually play some of them. Doing a lot of catchup in that sense. That's some good Kajiura music. Think the only things I consumed with her music is Madoka Magica and Fate/Zero. Always liked the things I did hear from her though.
Not bad, you can tell the composer was trying to replicate the style of music Yuki Kaijura did for the Signs TV series. Yes, I enjoy this type of music. Here's one back at you since I mentioned Kajiura. Sounds like you have a pretty big wish list yourself there.
