Yeah, it's coming for the Vita. It maybe be too soon to tell if you'll be able to play on your PS3 though, as it was just announced a month or so ago As far as I know, the Japanese release didn't have that function. I think it was originally a DS game so maybe even with the way they upscale it it won't be system quality? Hard to say. Either way, i'm looking forward to it!

Fan translations always sound cool, I've just never done any mods to my systems to get that type of stuff to work. With games that aren't being ported, i'm definitely tempted to figure out how, though.

I've played Xillia, Symphonia, Dawn of the new World, Legendia, Graces.....hmm. That may be it, actually. I know I want to play more of them. Tales of Hearts is getting a port. Who's Leon? Did they change the name? Over here we've got the choice between Jude and Milla.
We have just started xillia recently and chosen Leon. But I've also played vesperia, symphonia, phantasia, graces f and I started abyss on the 3DS.

It's listed under key items, with the description "a small gem encased in crystal". I can't equip it or anything. It must be just to show I beat him as you said. I think the only other key items are boss drops as well. Maybe they help to identify the bonuses you get when transferring over to the full game.
Based on the fact that I can't find anything online, I would assume it's a Trophy to prove you've beat him. I never played the demo myself. Can you see the item in your inventory? What's the description on it?
Okay just one more What does the automaton catalyst do? I got it from the last boss of the demo and thought "hmm what can I use this for". I typed it in google and didn't find anything.
