It is really neat. Unfortunately I barely have the motivation to continue working on it nowadays. But doing it was fun and a good experience in both programming and balancing game elements.

It's a reference to a Warcraft III map I'm currently the lead developer of, Final Fantasy Epic RPG (I didn't pick that title, just so you know =P). Spirits of Gaya follow your hero around in that game to carry items for you.
