  1. Oh right. The third part of that Cuckoo's Calling series
  2. career of evil?
  3. I posted that like a yeaaaar ago that's why it's locked. I was a bit grumpy at the responses, that's where I had to warn a guy and I kinda was like "screw scrib" for a bit haha
  4. Oh, and Career of Evil is making me SO ANGRY recently! And I mean that in the best way possible
  5. It's something I try to look out for in critiques. When I recognize something is a suggestive gripe - I let them know it's subjective, just so they know this is one possible way this can be perceived so they might want to take another look at it, but I recognize it as something that is not necessarily bad. And that plot point thing is just complete arrogance. Ever heard of Chekhov's Smurfing Gun? Jesus, some people :

I see chapter 1 of G.N.O.M.E. is locked! I wasn't gonna critique it yet, since I told you already that I wanna get some shorts up before I start reading and writing novel chapters, but is there anything that can be done about that so I can help you out too when I get there?
  6. Yeah there's also a problem with novel chapters. They will pick apart things "this seems unnecessary. Take it out" and you're like IT'S A PLOT POINT LATER WTH? Why would someone make a point to mention the strange eye color of a character if not for a reason? Or why would I hint at something in the world if it wasn't relevant. It gets frustrating because they're only reading like a chapter at a time, they try to pick that apart rather than looking at the whole thing.
  7. Though I can already see some of the pretentious people you've mentioned. I also hate how everyone is constantly babbling on about "show don't tell". Sure, you don't want to tell people how to feel, but this is not a universal rule. Everything has its place. Sometimes a character will see that someone is angry, and saying every time that someone clenches their fists or something equally blatant is just horribly naive. Ugh,
  8. I really feel like this might just help me finish my novel
  9. Yay! I'm glad you enjoy it. I like the feedback culture there. There's so many places where you post things and never get a response. I like that that is a focus there.
  10. Yeah, i'm diggin this place. Started talking to people and stuff, they seem to enjoy my critiques, so that's good!
