I actually watched the animation first. She left a lasting impression even then anyway, so yeah, they did do a good job
Nice and yeah Undertale really doesn't feel like it's any worse off for looking as simplistic as it does. I've just finished watching Danganronpa The Animation. Gotta say for how fast that final trial went they nailed Junko so well =P
Btw, we played a bit more of Undertale. Encountered Undyne and got chased by the spears. I am incredibly impressed with how, despite the simplistic artstyle, incredibly well the atmosphere was crafted.

I'm a bit exhausted atm since these past few days which should've been spent on naught but reading VNs and doing the occasional university assignment have instead been spent programming a small Java Application for my dad so he and his relatively large group of people can organize and score bets for EURO2016 matches without much trouble. And I'm still trying to get the damn thing finished even now. Other than that pretty fine. Super psyched FF XII is finally getting the treatment it deserves.

That's Jonathan from SMT IV It's inspired by this one Big Lipped Aligator Moment in the game where a demon uses a toxin to make everyone go wild. The normally brash, tough, and direct Walter begins saying that even though he's the son of a fisherman, he's deathly afraid of fish, Isabeau, the aloof girl, starts making puns about how "demoning" this situation is, and Jonathan, a gentle, softp-spoken young man, starts acting like a cat.
