  1. Must be an error on your side, our stuff looks nothing alike except maybe the blue color.
  2. Oh wait, it's just on your profile and VMs. Weird.
  3. Wh-why do you have Pike's avatar? Or is there just some error on my part?
  4. I don't deny that prospect, I may give it another whirl someday but right now my backlog is overcrowded.
  5. BGI is pretty dorky at first, true, but once you get more into the mechanics, you can really appreciate how solid a system D&D is. It's also a solid chunk of gaming history. I think it's safe to say it's kind of the FFVII of PC RPGs in that all the KoTORs, Mass Effects and Dragon Ages took were built on templates established in that game, and back in that day PC gamers really loved it and many still consider it the best RPG series on the platform.
  6. Half Life is surprisingly better than I thought it would be, especially since it's a genre I don't care for, but it's story telling is a style I really love in games. Very Organic. I have the classic Fallout's as well but I haven't gotten very far in either of them. I want to hit up Deus Ex and Knights of the Old Republic after I finish Half Life.

I have not so great memories of Baldur's Gate, finding it so bad to be kind of funny. I also never really got into Diablo.
  7. I've never played Half-life myself, see Or Fallout. Actually, most of my PC gaming experience actually consists of D&D RPGs It was hard for me to get into them at first, but I'm really thankful for my wife motivating me to push through because right now they're some of my favorite games ever. With the exception of Neverwinter Nights, they were all pretty fantastic.
  8. I keep forgetting DQVII is around the corner as well. I started a new playthrough of the original some time ago and should really get back to it, especially since I overcame the biggest hurdle in the early game. I'm still a bit miffed with the name changes and overuse of puns I'm seeing in the remake. I'm just so use to the originals I guess.

I never got too much into the D&D style PC RPGs, probably because I was always more into 4x4 grid and sim style PC games. Hell, I just started playing Half Life for the first time this year just to show how much catching up I have to do with PC gaming.
  9. Out of the ones you listed, Bravely Default will probably be the most fun romp, but really, they're all good games. I had this SMTIV mood some time ago and am still considering replaying it, but I'm worried I won't make it before CHristmas when I hope to get Apocalypse, and I would hate to leave it like that or grow sick of the formula before the new game.

Right now I'm waiting for DQ VII to come out and in the meantime I've been on this D&D game binge. Beat Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition and since I can't affore to buy the new expansion or BG II: EE, I've started Icewind Dale II since I've only beated the first game and really liked what I played. It's very challenging but I like it a lot.
  10. Yeah, I kind of wanted to check out SaGa some more after I finally catch up on MegaTen. I still need to beat SMT1, actually thinking of booting it up in a minute. I really want to hit SMT2, as I hear it's a much better improvement over the first game in some ways. Hell I wish Atlus would just release a collection of all four entries in the mainline.

Part of me wants to hit up Persona Q and Soul Hackers as well, but I think I'm going to try and finish up 4 Heroes of Light and give Bravely Default a whirl, or maybe Tactics Ogre. I feel I've kind of killed my Pokemon mood for the moment but I want to hit up some of my handheld backlog. I'm really trying to fight the urge to restart SMTIV, especially with Apocalypse around the corner. I'm thinking I'll do a non-SMT title for handheld, and maybe jump back to Raidou Devil Summoner on console.
