So NaNoWriMo is definitely a challenge, but it feels very rewarding. I'm finally making progress on my novel. I may still be on draft zero, and it may be much tougher than my usual stuff, but at least it's some progress. Maybe this is the way to go. Vomiting words and then just polishing it afterwards. Though with such a huge text, it feels a bit overwhelming right now.

Well as I said, I thought you pulled it off pretty damn well. If you ask me, true horror lies in turning the familiar against you, not in strange irrational creatures =P
I figured that was the best way I could go around the theme being this immense terrifying thing that there really is no escape from. In the end, though, I think this might have been a mistake, as the theme is heavy, and I'm worried I went a bit too personal before giving the uplifting message. But yeah, that's what my brain came up with I blame horror stuff for desensitizing me to most things, leaving only derpessing existential stuff to affect me.

Well, usually when I mold a character in my head, I usually make up a name right away and stick with it. I try to come up with a name that not only fits their personality, but also how the other characters say the name, since they'll be using the name in dialog much more than the character. Consulting the behind the name website is also always a good source of inspiration
Do you generally recommend coming up with names early or are you of the opinion that it doesn't matter? It just feels weird to me to have placeholder names for them for so long, but... I just suck at this
