  1. Wolf!
  2. Facts, schmacts! Forget the Dark Elf. I discovered something much more useful and, more importantly, as hard as it is to believe nobody has thought of this before me, nobody has thought of this before me.

You can easily farm experience points and gil from the Security Eyes (AKA Alerts) in the Tower Of Babil, without taking any damage at all... You can become an unstoppable powerhouse in a mere hour or two, and all without using items, HP, or MP... And, in spite of how obvious that is (or perhaps because of it), I'm the first one to think of it.
  3. I'm looking at the facts and telling you that I feel the devs thought of everything to make sure this doesn't happen, as I mentioned in the thread, unless there was some kind of bug I'm missing it pretty much appears to be an impossible feat unless the information I got was wrong but FF Wiki is pretty thorough about information.
  4. Well, as the originator of the saying, "The only futile fight is the one you never fought," I'm going to have to say the pragmatic approach would not be making fearful assumptions that it can't be done.
  5. I'm afraid I'm not an optimist by nature, I'm pragmatic and its sometimes better to cut your losses.
  6. Let us not resign ourselves to failure. If we're going to fail, we're going to go down fighting.

You know what they say? You know? They? The people who come up with all the sayings that begin with, "You know what they say?" They say where there's a will, there's a way... So, let's check the probate for a solution.
  7. His stats are maxed out as well, so even with better equipment he could still be one-shotting your characters. He can be silenced and blind which will stop his offense from being too effective but if Tornado is a scripted move then you still won't have enough time to damage him.
  8. From what I've read, you can use the good equipment even with the magnetic field, if you put it on in battle, instead of going in with it. But, giving up an entire turn to switch equipment when you're already pushing it might not be the best course of action in solving this puzzle.
  9. I'm afraid its looking to be nearly impossible at this point, Edward's song does more than just let you use better equipment, it also lowers all of his stats except for his HP.
  10. Between the two of us, we'll figure out a way to beat the Dark Elf without the help of that spoony bard. It's a puzzle just begging to be solved. We'll get to the bottom of this.
