SH2 is basically what made the series a hit, so I've heard good things. I plan on playing the third one for Women's Month.

In an RPG, probably not. I was still surprised when I actually hit a wall in Silent Hill. I had just came out of Resident Evil so it took me a while to get used to actual physics.
Not as bad as it seems.
Until you crash in a wall.
Pretty much, makes speed runs easier.
