  1. Yeah it's a quirky game by Takashi Tokito, one of the main designers for FFIV. The game has you play as different heroes from across time trying to stop an evil called Osteard. Each era plays a bit differently from each other and I thought I heard it used a weird grid-based system of combat where being spatially aware is a big thing.
  2. Heard Fynn mention that game a lot. Still have a ROM downloaded on my computer since it's Japanese only if I remember correctly. Just haven't gotten around to playing it yet.
  3. You're best bet for something like CT would probably be Live A Live. It's a 16-bit game for the SNES that CT borrowed a few ideas from. In terms of a game that plays just like it... probably the new Setsuna game I did an article on or a few indie titles have tried to emulate it's gameplay.

As for Chrono Cross, it's a fun game. It's also very different beast from CT. It has a more mature and philosophical story(it's made by some veterans of Xenogears) compared to the grand adventure plot of CT. I'm not a fan of the battle system and most of the cast are a bit too novelty for my taste. I still feel it's a fun game and people should check it out. Just don't expect it to be CT2 and you'll enjoy it.
  4. Haaaaaaaaaaaaai.

Question: do you know any other RPGs that play similar to Chrono Trigger? I really liked the battle system in that game and it kind of spoiled me in a way. Also, is Chrono Cross worth looking into? I've seen mixed opinions on that one.
  5. The new translation is more accurate, the original translation was mostly true to the story but made a few changes for the sake of the fans who grew up on the original English translation. I think they also translated Usagi's name, so she's actually called Bunny which was kind of cute.
  6. Better or worse, though?
  7. Yeah. The translation is different too from the Mixxzine one.
  8. All of mine are the new edition. It still feels weird reading right to left.
  9. I have the first seven volumes of the new edition and four volumes of the original Mixxzine/Tokyopop run of the series.
  10. I have both volumes of Sailor V and the first two volumes of Sailor Moon. I need to work on that.
