Conversation Between Pumpkin and Skyblade

  1. Sumia's other daughter is awesome, such an incredible character. But, yeah, that mission can be a doozy. It pretty much requires you to play aggressively, or you just get overwhelmed, but playing that way can really overextend you.

Essentially, you need to split into two groups. If you can, pair your two best flyers who have Galeforce. Have them rush north, kill a unit to activate Galeforce, rush north again, switch who's in charge and kill another unit to activate it for the second unit, and then rush the boss. If you can pull it off, you can hit the boss in the first turn or two. Even if you don't kill him, once you hit him he'll run away and stop summoning reinforcements. The rest of your units, with Chrom in the lead, make a line for Sumia's daughter. Talk to her with Chrom, then get her paired to someone to protect her. If you can do that, you're golden. But if you mess up (or especially if you can't move your flyers north far enough to get past the majority of the enemy lines), it can be rough.

Maybe you could sacrifice the flyers to stop the reinforcements, then just play as normal for the rest of the map?
  2. Oh yeah I do have her! I forgot about her already xD

    Going for Nowi next and then umm... whoever is easiest! I want Sumia's other daughter but I heard its one of the harder missions ;_;
  3. I thought you got Sully's daughter Kjelle too. I agree with you on her, by the way. She's not nearly as strong as most of the others, because she's a bit too much of a jerk. Near the end of her conversations, and especially in the DLC conversations, she gets a lot better, but her personality can be really grating.

Who do you want to get next?
  4. The only ones I have are Owain, Morgan, Laurent, and the Chrom's daughter. Been mostly grinding today between packing and playing Ys.

Also started on my game list. I still have about 20 to 21 games to play, but so far, Fire Emblem is pretty up there
  5. Yep, Olivia just generally looks awesome (and you can always get her the dancer outfit back, if you want). I also love all her supports. They're just so much fun.

Lissa is just completely unfazed with Owain's...theatricality. It's so great how all his ridiculousness just kind of rolls off of her. It's clear where Owain's oddity's come from, even if Lissa's own are a little different.

What children do you have left to get?
  6. I was worried about Olivia losing her cute dancer outfit (don't judge my priorities) but she looks super pretty as a Myrmidon!

Also, Owain and Lissa have the most adorable interactions
  7. Wow its neat how they tied that together
  8. See, in Rekka no Ken, there is also a tactician Avatar. Although he (or she, you could choose) didn't take part in battles, the tactician was still really important to the story.

In the Smash Brethren 3 DLC map, we find out that they are the same tactician, because Lyn recognizes your Avatar and asks if you remember the journey that you went on together in Rekka no Ken. It's an absolutely fantastic little nod to the game, and it explains what happened to the Avatar before Chrom finds you on the fields. The Avatar's mother smuggled you away from the people hunting you, you vanish from the world for years, and turn up right outside the Outrealm Gate. Because you were off saving another world.

    Lyn
So that's it. I lost. It feels so unfair... Are you the enemy's tactician? ...Wait, what?! It can't be... Are you... No, that's impossible... I'm sorry. It's just...you remind me of someone very dear to me. A tactician, like you, who came to my aid time and again. This might seem like a silly question, but... Have you ever awoken in a strange place, uncertain of how you got there?

    >Question: Have you ever awoken in a strange place?
    >Yes

    Lyn
I knew it! It happened three times to the man/woman I knew. This can't be pure coincidence. ...Unless, of course, all tacticians are known to collapse by the wayside.

I am Lyn, of the Lorca tribe. Would you tell me more about yourself? Where were you born? Have you been to my world? ...What? You can't remember? Now I'm even more certain that you're the man/woman I know. Look at me carefully, and really try to think back. We met on the Sacae plains. We fought with Eliwood and the others... Does none of this sound familiar?

    >Quesiton: Does Lyn's story sound familiar?
    >Yes

    Lyn
Really? Then you remember! It's really you! Oh...I'm so happy! I thought... I thought we'd never met again. ...I'm sorry. I don't mean to cry. I'm just...overwhelmed. Give me a moment... ...Thank you. I feel better. Listen. Come back to Sacae with me! Can you just picture the others' face's? ...What? Unfinished business? All right. Then please, let me join my strength to yours. I'll cut down any foe who dares stand in your path!
  9. Oh I see!
  10. Lyndis, from Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken (just known as Fire Emblem outside Japan, as it was the first one officially translated into English).

Her story and personality were great. She is actually tied into Awakening's story (or at least, directly tied to the Avatar) in one of the game's DLC chapters.
