I haven't used a gamepad so I don't really know. I'm told by others that it's great, but I'm veeeeery social in my gaming on FFXIV and that makes a keyboard at my fingertips at all times pretty vital anyway.
I'll be online tomorrow at some point between 1-5 PM EST, and I can get online on Sunday for a bit at pretty much anytime. Also you never responded to my question here about whether I should get a gamepad.

I just created a character, but only played for about 30 minutes and didn't even get past the newbie quest. My character's name is Raine Argent. I tried to message you but you weren't on. I'll try to get on earlier tomorrow (say, about 6 PM EST -- which is as early as I can get on during the week).
