Conversation Between Fynn and Wolf Kanno

  1. Yeah BotW is pretty involving. But also not to the degree that other open world games are, imo, as the story is really told very loosely and you can pretty much adjust your pace however you like
  2. It's been fun so far. Harcore Mecha has been my favorite demo so far, really captures the different style of Giant Robot genres with the first mission being a straight up super robot parody before the main campaign kicks in and it goes real robot. Ocotpath Traveler is a strange hybrid of 16-bit nostalgia combined with the unholy love child of FFV and Romancing SaGa. The more I play it, the more I do feel an FFV or VI remake in the style would be pretty cool.

My main issue at the moment is that I picked up Breath of the Wild yesterday, but I'm trying to avoid it because I have other games to play, and I imagine the game is going to suck me in pretty badly and I still have some things I need to do that require my full attention. lol
  3. Yeah, for me personally an argument working in Lite’s favor is that I’d spend 90% of my playtime in handheld mode anyway, and my brother has the regular switch so I can always just swap with him if I feel like playing on the big screen. The only thing I’d really need the big switch for is the labo stuff, as I thought it’d be cool for my kid to play around with, but then by the time he’s old enough to do so there’s probably gonna be a totally new console generation with new stuff anyway
  4. I ain't complaining. While I would have preferred the main console, I'm not going to short change a gift and a chance to play a lot of games I've been wanting to check out for awhile. BotW alone will likely make this console worth it, but I've been having fun with Octopath Traveler and I've downloaded a few demos that are giving me more ideas for games to pick up.

Of anything, the system feels like a successor to the 3DS which is a system I loved, so no complaints here. I feel the only real gripe I would have here is that games like BotW and Xenoblade feel like entries that deserve to be experienced on a big screen TV, but at the same time, I feel li a lot of the Switch library lends itself better to mobile gaming like Bloodstained, Hardcore Mecha, and SMTV.
  5. So how’s that Switch Lite serving you? I’ve actually started thinking that’s the model I should get since it’s cheaper and I can’t see trout on a TV anyway, but there’s a ton of think pieces online saying it’s not a valid choice
  6. That should work. I feel job class entries work best when you play it loose.
  7. Not entirely sure yet. I’ve decided not to plan out too much and actually play around with the jobs more. I’m also not assigning roles from the start, as I usually do, so I’ll hopefull have some funky job combos.
  8. Not a bad setup. Thief will keep your team well stocked with healing items. What are you planning for Sub-Jobs down the line?
  9. Well that’s After Years done! And I’m already thinking of FFV lol. What do you think about an initial party of Knight, Thief, Monk and Blue Mage?
  10. Lol I guess we could.
