Ahh okay. Might try watching it again. It just got to me how they all seemed overly happy with a very childishly simple battle. Guess it was only the first 2 episodes after all..
Yeah, One Piece is actually a really good series. A lot of the characters have very exaggerated personalities and it somehow works very nicely. And it's definitely not a childish series, though Luffy is very happy go lucky most of the time, which he get called out on by many characters throughout the series. Just avoid the 4 kids dub.

Oh christ! That's just bad. I watched the first 2 episodes of One Piece and it seemed WAY too childish for me to be able to endure...
Censorship can make a show so bad it's funny in some cases. Like the 4 kids dub of one piece. They edit out any use of tobacco products. Smoker is a character who fights using the smoke from his cigars. So you have smoke coming from nowhere for no explicable reason. xD

in the anime the bullet opens and the flame hits the person. In the manga it's just shot like a normal bullet.
