  1. I'm really sorry you're going through depression. If you ever need someone to talk to about it, I'm here!

Doing one article at a time is a good idea, at first anyway. FF1 is a pretty simple game, so maybe you could start with that one? It would probably be easier to write about than Fire Emblem or Uncharted.

Haha, that would be fun if we could battle each other's teams. You better train your units a lot though because my team is pretty OP!
Yeah, I usually only play video games for 1-2 hours a day. I like to do my other hobbies like drawing cooking and reading too. I also help my sister and brother-in-law take care of their two young kids as well. What about you?
  2. Sorry for the late reply. Been busy with work and battling depression.

Yeah, I actually haven't had much time or motivation to write anything unfortunately. I started up FF1 and then got Fire Emblem, and I also wanted to start up Uncharted 3 again. I don't want to juggle too many games at once though. Makes writing about one thing difficult. So I want to take things one step at a time.

You can battle other people in FE? I had no idea. That's super cool. You should come over and battle me. :P

I'm glad you enjoyed the dungeon by the way. I guess you only get a few hours a day to play games? What do you usually do most days?
  3. I will, thanks!

Wow, that's cool you got it all set up already! Can't wait for the first article!

Haha yeah, I like it a lot. My brother and I use to use Street Pass to battle each other's best units. We'd always be competing to see who could have the more overpowered team. So that's part of the reason I have so many hours logged into it haha. And yes, I did beat it on Classic Lunatic mode. That was challenging.
Oh! I finished the Ancient Cistern earlier today! I really liked it. It was very enjoyable and I think it's one of the best Zelda dungeons I've ever played. I really liked the southern Asian style architecture too.
  4. I hope so. Just let me know if you need any help

I actually just made it already. Haha. No posts yet, but I plan to write something up tonight. It was really hard figuring out how to use the website but I think I got it down now.

350 hours? Wow...you really do like it. I'm guessing you've played on Lunatic difficulty too then? I'm only at chapter 2...I've been busy watching some esports so I haven't given the game as much attention as I want to.

The Ancient Cistern is an AMAZING dungeon. I loved it so much. Man, you really make me want to go back and play it. I'm actually thinking I will...
  5. Thank you for the tips. It helps!

Making your own blog sounds exciting. I can't wait to see it! When do you think you'll be able to do it?

I'm glad you like Awakening so far! The game play is definitely one of my favorite things about it, and it's also very easy to log a ton of hours into it. I think I've logged in about 350 hours haha. What chapter are you at?
Also, I just entered the Ancient Cistern in SS, and I did the first Silent Realm trial. It was so intense...
  6. Well I just gave you some ideas, silly. :P It doesn't have to be something long. It can be concise and to the point. You really just want to hit the key points of introducing yourself, tell the employer what position you are applying for and where you found it, attach your resume, state where you can be contacted, and thank them for their consideration. That's how I've done it.

It wouldn't be a blog on the forum. I was going to make one on an actual site to hopefully get more traffic. I'll probably include the link in my signature somewhere as well.

I think Awakening is a really solid game so far. Everything about it in terms of gameplay, presentation and customization seems incredible. I definitely want to invest a lot of time on this one.
  7. The problem I have with cover letters is that I don't know where to start. I'm not good at putting things into words. Getting a template doesn't sound like a bad idea!

Making that into a blog sounds like a great idea, and I would totally check it out if you made one! Is it going to be a thread or an actual blog on the forum?

You got Awakening! Awesome! What do you think of it so far?
  8. Oh a cover letter is easy. I actually just use a template that I insert the company name/position into as I apply to each different position. I opted for short and sweet, stating where I found the position, that I am interested and have provided my resume, and can be contacted at my e-mail address. I find it's fairly effective. I can help you if you want.

Thanks for checking it out btw. And yeah, that's actually been one of my goals for a long time. In fact I have actually been thinking about turning this into my own personal blog. It will be good writing practice and I can possibly even build up a following. Would you check it out if I made one? I'm not sure how exactly I'll do this...I might write an entire article on my blog and post a short summary from it in the thread.

Also...I picked up Awakening just now. I plan on playing it starting today.
  9. Yeah, working six days a week is really rough. I'm glad you were able to work it out though! I have to write a cover letter and resume to send in with my application, so I haven't sent it in yet. I've never written a cover letter before, so I hope I do well. But yes, I'm glad your new job is working out!

I saw your thread on how you were going to play through the whole FF series in order. That sounds like fun, and I'm thinking about doing it too!
  10. Actually I may be working there again after all haha. I really didn't like the hours and working 6 days a week was pretty terrible to me. However they're likely going to put me on the night shift now with only 5 days a week. It's a huge upgrade and I'll be much happier.

Have you heard back from the hotel yet? How's your jobhunt going?
