There's actually another explanation for that. Disney used Mickey's "half-naked" form simply because in early years of animation it was easier to draw. As for Donald, he, Daisy and the nephews didn't get any pants because their tails let the animators show what emotions they were feeling (a good example of this is Daisy in "Mr. Duck Steps Out" cartoon) and it looked funny too.
Like how donald duck never wear any pants and Mickey used to be half naked? ?
Well, you know what Disney's like. They always have a few sexual references in their works.
That duck in armor appears to have pointy nipples.
