  1. Not sure I want to know what I'm getting in the mail.

I have run across Exalt several times now. Almost ready to pinpoint their base and go smurf them up. I actually haven't had too much trouble with them aside from my very first covert op where I stood a bit too close to some gas pumps, and managed to trigger three groups of them by the end of my turn with half my guys out of position. I may or may not have redone that one.

I just finished the attack on my base this morning. That almost went really badly. Lost a few squaddies, but luckily my two support colonels managed to get everyone healed back to full or near it before more waves came. I chalk it up to not being exactly sure where everything would be coming from until they were in my face.
  2. Rumor has it that you've given me comics. This offends my American sensibilities. I don't need some social program giving me reading material. If I can't afford it myself, I probably did something to deserve that circumstance and making it harder for me to get out of that circumstance is the only way to have me learn my lesson and fix the problem. That problem clearly being me. Nevertheless, thanks! No good deed goes unpunished, so you'll be getting something in the mail.

Have you come across any Exalt forces yet? I usually did okay with them, but one mission that kicked the sh*t out of me. Barely protected the target, and was left with only two people. Yeesh. It was probably my worst mission.
  3. Glad you're enjoying them. And there was a second part to that Canada Spider-Man comic that I never got, but if memory serves he travels to Fredericton after leaving Winnipeg. Would like to have it just to see how they depicted Fredericton at the time. And like I told Shion, there's literally one block in the entire city where he'd be able to swing. That's it. Sending Spider-Man to Fredericton is like Batman being in a city where it's always day time.

And smurf that Chryssalid mission was hard. Had I known how bad it was before starting the game I probably could have prepared for it, but having just one assault with close combat specialist made things tough. Sadly, the only reason I lost him was because he was one turn too slow getting back to the skyranger. It was a sad day indeed.
  4. Also, don't feel too bad. The Chryssalid mission in Newfoundland is just brutal. I got lucky and I still lost two guys. It was a sad day.
  5. Hey dude, thanks for picking some good story lines. I've been out of comics for ages, but it's nice to read some of these newer ones.

I also like the throwback comic to Spider-Man visting Winnipeg (which is apparently conveniently close to Fredericton.......I don't know.) and bringing is message of, "I can't tell you what to do, you're your own person, but don't do drugs."
  6. Oh, I'm sure you have people with pet pigs. Weird people are everywhere.
  7. We give them water, we just don't usuly talk about doing it as though the pig was a house plant. And we tend to leave the pig hydration to the pig farmers.
  8. So I've learned Canadians don't give their pigs water.

You're gonna eat the poor little bastard, you can at least make sure it's hydrated first.
  9. If that steel weren't there, you might hit your head on something in a side impact. That just won't do.
  10. Hey, this guy knows what he's doing. Nothing says safety like a structural steel bar right next to your helmet-less skull during a side impact.
