  1. It's just a thing! I try not to compare or else I just drive myself crazy.
  2. I was about 15 when my parents were the age I am now. Ugh. Just thinking about it makes me sick to my stomach. They seemed so smurfing old then! Do I seem that old!? Man, I don't feel that old. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
  3. Hahaha, sorry. My parents were pretty young parents, so that "old" feeling has been happening to me with the last few years. When I turned 30 I realized that I could clearly remember by father's 30th birthday. Made me shudder!
  4. Man, he was younger than how old I am at the moment now that I am thinking about this.
Dude, you just made me feel soooo smurfing old.
  5. Bad also loves Rush and Yes in particular. He jammed with a few buddies in the attic back in the day. They actually played Pink Floyd's "Echoes" in full a few times. Also stuff from The Cure. Man, he was younger than how old I am at the moment now that I am thinking about this. Time flies! Glad you have a similar cool hippie dad!
  6. Same here. My dad was a musician and his favorite bands were Rush, Pink Floyd, and Yes. So he'd listen to the songs over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over learning the guitar parts. And most of the time I had to have the sound on my games way down or all the way off, so those bands were the soundtracks to the games most of the time.
  7. Hell yeah. I have weird memories of associating games with prog music and classic rock in general. If I wasn't playing the music, I heard it form somewhere else in the house because of my father.
  8. Ohhh, that makes me wanna test all the FFs and see if Dark Side of the Moon synchronizes with any of them. Dark Side of the Crystal.
  9. Oh, I used to do that kind of stuff as a kid. Lots of Pink Floyd and what not. Prog rock makes grinding feel shorter. Because your mind is on a journey, maaaaaan.
  10. lol. Me too!
I'm forcing myself to play through FFXIII, and the only thing that's gotten me through it so far is Gojira (Mars to Sirius and The Way of All Flesh) and the FFVI OST remix. Metal makes the grinding less of a chore.
