Conversation Between Ultima Shadow and NeoCracker

  1. With the worlds merging and what not, you have the Feydoom, dream creatures and trout from a game I never played, basically creating a space from all their negative feelings and trout. This resonated with Vile to an extent, and even though he was dead in cannon, his conciousness started to awake.

Then, through shear force of hatred and spite, willed himself back into existance.
  2. As a villain, I assume?

    What did he do?
  3. Alright, Vile From the MEgaman games has had the single most bad ass moment in this entire game yet.
  4. As you level up in this, you gain additional attacks in combat, up to five. Different characters get it at different level, though it seems they all get there eventually.
  5. Well, the story-bit sounds about the same as SRT. The story really isn't the point, but the interactions between characters can still be absolutely brilliant.

For the battle system, a lot seem similar, though using the XP/Overdrive Bar (as I think it's called in SRT) for blocks and counters is something that SRT doesn't have. As far as I remember, it was used for the Overdrive attacks only in SRT. So the managing of that seem a bit more important in Project X-Zone.

In SRT, each character has individual AP too that determines how many actions (different actions have different AP cost) they can take/attacks they can perform in a turn etc.
  6. 30 hours in, 12 chapters to go.

Story exists souly to facilitate the existence of all these characters, and is practically a non-entity. There are, however, a lot of awesome moments and some jokes that range from a kind of goofy and stupid funny, to pretty god damn genius, like a bit with Arthur of Ghost and Goblins and Alissa's head (The Pink haired Robot from the last Tekken game.)

Gameplay is pretty solid. Quite a few options, such as using your EX meter to preforms special attacks, multi attacks (Depending on the unit it allows you to target 2-4 units for a singe attack), a variety of buff abilities, an interesting use of Items, the option to Guard, counter, or full guard when attacked for varying XP costs. There is one XP bar for everyone though, so the core of the system is managing your XP gain and usage.

I read it is based a lot off SRT: Endless Frontier, though I don't know how much is the same, but yeah.
  7. Awesome. How many hours are you up in now?

And battles aside, how's the rest of the gameplay and the story and such?
  8. Alright, these last couple chapters in Project XZone have posed a bit more challanging. The first mostly because I wasn't ready for it though, but there is a noticable increase in challange right now. I'm actually having to think about and use the Multi-attack feature, as well as making a lot of Use of Counter attacking, neither of which I did much of before since it uses XP, which is also used to preform your special attacks. (Note, XP is different from Experience. )
  9. Pft, I'm not that hipster.
  10. Hahaha. Well... you might be hipster enough to like it anyway perhaps?
