  1. It's gonna change again soon, this one was just done on a Psychotic whim >_< it is getting some approval though.
  2. God damn name changes!

I was thinking "Who the hell is Bongo? He seems pretty cool."
  3. Oh yeah, I've seen pictures of that thing, I'm the same with heights so I'd be freaking out, but I'm sure it'll be an awesome experience.

Haha, never seen someone so passionate about ukulele before xD I'm from Western Australia, I live a little south of Perth, the capital city. If I see him doing a show somewhere close and I can spare the money I'll be sure to check him out
  4. It will be awesome, I'm sure. I'm gonna head up the Burj Khalifa (tallest building in the world) when I'm there... though I don't know why. I'm not great with heights! Just so I can say I've done it, I suppose.

I'll definitely be heading over to Hawaii at some point. Just seen a few pictures of the place... amazing. It's home to my hero... Jake Shimabukuro, who is by far the best ukulele player on the planet. Seriously, he is the Jimi Hendrix of the uke! He's actually touring Australia from 27th March - 6th April you lucky dog! If there is a show anywhere near you then you HAVE TO check him out. Whereabouts in OZ are you from?

Mate, long distance is never easy but you've just got to make the most of the time you've got. It'll be awesome!
  5. That is awesome, sounds like the perfect vacation! Hope it all goes well.

Yeah, Hawaii was amazing. Such a beautiful place and I stayed with a couple friends from EoFF so they showed me all around the island (we were on O'ahu) and took me to some really cool places. I'd love to go back there for a longer period of time, maybe one day when I'm nice and loaded

Haha, I keep telling myself that it'll fly by in no time, and it has been, but there's nothing easy about long distance Sure it'll be worth the wait though.
  6. Ah OK, I don't use Facebook and Soundcloud all that much but I might log back on FB and check it out.

Man, I'm ridiculously lucky getting this trip. My new girlfriend's Dad has an apartment on the beach there so we get to stay for free! He's staying there the week before as well so he's gonna stock the place up with food and booze for us. I'll let you know how it goes!

You're so lucky getting to visit Hawaii! I feel it's kind of a spiritual home for me now after my obsesion with the ukulele! Was it nice? Which island did you stay on?

July isn't that far away, man. I'm sure you'll both have a blast!
  7. There's a properly mixed and mastered song on our facebook and soundcloud I believe, most of the videos on our youtube are of me doing drum covers I'm afraid My internet here is balls but I'll be sure to look at that video when I get home on Saturday.

You're so lucky to get to go to Dubai, that place looks amazing. I'd love to go somewhere like that for a big chunk of time. I visisted hawaii while I was in America but only for a couple of days, let me know what it's like. Yeah, Tara is headed here in July, still a ways off unfortunately. I'm looking forward to it very much though.
  8. I know, he's extremely annoying! Ha, I wouldn't know how to do any of that stuff! I can change my strings that's about it. I don't experiment too much with my sound as I keep it relatively simple. If I ever get any problems with it then I have a friend who gives it a full service for pretty cheap.

I'll have to check out Bad Shannon on the internet. You guys on Youtube? There's a video of us that I've posted on here a couple of times, I think. We're a bit more accomplished than this now as we have been criticised for being too static. I could see thier point!

We normally gig a couple of times a month which suits the majority of us. The rest of the band are in their mid-thirties and have families whilst I'm a bit younger and would happily gig some more! I generally do gigs on my own though where I can perform my own songs.

Sounds like a nice little break for you! Isn't Locky heading out to visit you at some point as well?
  9. Haha, I hate those guys, they make me so jealous. I don't have anywhere near enough money to buy all the musical instruments that I'd like. I didn't do too much, took out all the pickups and installed new ones, soldered in a push/pull pot as well so I could split the neck pickup. Gotta take it back to the luthier though cause I'm not too happy with the action on it, gets a lot of fret buzz. It's hard to get it right cause there's such heavy gauge strings on it.

Yeah, Bad Shannon is right. Haven't been doing much with them lately though, everyone is on a bit of a break cause everything is recorded and we just have to slowly get through the mixing process for this EP. It's a major pain. So does your band play many gigs?

I'm just on the eastern states of Australia visiting ze mother. Nothing too major, spent my birthday here and saw a couple bands that were touring which was awesome.
  10. They all sound good, mate. Especially the PRS... I'm jealous! Our lead guitarist in our band has about eight different guitars. He's forever showing up with new Rickenbackers and Telecasters at rehearsals. I've had the same SG for about 8 years! I don't do a lot of customising to my guitars... but that's mainly because I don't know that much about them really! I just love to play them.

What's the name of your band again? Bad Shannon or something is it?

On holiday, eh? I'm flying to Dubai less than four weeks with the missus. Can't wait! So whereabouts are you holidaying?
