Army usually goes to National Training Center (NTC) in Death Valley for desert training. Somehow I've luckily never been there, probably because I just go to Iraq too often to make a rotation there. I've never been to Palms 29 either.
It's a large desert similar to Iraq and stuff. It's in Southern CA. Marine base, but sometimes Army folk come around here and train.
I don't know where 29 palms is. Is it slang for something?
